Guide to your upcoming account conversion

On November 1st, 2025, many existing Wings accounts will be converted from the legacy Settlers best system to the Wings system.

Below is information to help prepare you for the transition. For a detailed overview, please refer to your Welcome Packet.

Important dates and details

Accounts and systems will begin converting on Friday, October 31st at 5 p.m.
On Monday, November 3rd, you will enjoy full access to Wings branches (including former Settlers best branches), ATMs and digital services.

New debit cards available: Your current debit card will be deactivated at noon on November 1st. You can activate and begin using your new Wings debit card at that time.

Digital banking available: You can enroll in Wings digital banking beginning November 3rd.

New checks available: You can continue to use your current checks until December 16, 2025. If you wish to order more checks after conversion, please contact us. Your
first box of Wings checks is free.

Your Welcome Packet includes a detailed overview of Wings products and how your current Settlers best products will transition to Wings. Here are a few things to know.

Mortgages

If you currently have a mortgage at Settlers best, it will continue to be serviced by Midwest Loan Services under the same rates, due dates account numbers and terms. You will also make payments and receive statements through Midwest Loan Services, just as you do today. Click below to login.

Steps for a smoother transition

Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth transition to your new Wings membership.

Update your direct deposit information by December 31st, 2025

If you have your paycheck, Social Security check, pension checks or any other source of income direct-deposited, be sure to provide these institutions your new Wings account information. You can access your new account information in digital banking or by visiting a branch beginning November 3rd.

(Note, for the first 60 days of membership, there will be a grace period where we will redirect your former deposits and payments to your new Wings account. After that 60-day period, any deposits or payments to your former account numbers will be returned.)

Update automatic payments by December 31st, 2025

Any payments you make through automatic checking withdrawals (or automatic charges to your old debit card) must be switched to your new account. You can access your new account information in digital banking or by visiting a branch beginning November 3rd.

(Note, for the first 60 days of membership, there will be a grace period where we will redirect your former account deposits and payments to your new Wings account. After that 60-day period, any deposits or payments to your former account numbers will be returned.)

Register for digital banking

Beginning November 3rd, you can enroll in digital banking on the Wings website or by downloading the mobile app from your device's app store.

  1. In the upper right on the Wings website, click on the "Log In" button to show the dropdown
  2. Click on the "New User" link
  3. Fill out the requested information. Note: you will need your new Wings ID to enroll. You will receive your Wings ID via mail prior to March 3rd. If you need help finding your Wings ID, please call or visit a branch.

Enroll or re-enroll in eDocuments

Once you've signed up for digital banking, you can enroll in eDocuments. Enrolling in eDocuments helps you avoid the $3.00 monthly paper statement fee charged on all checking accounts. Please note: if you received eDocuments previously, you will need to re-enroll. 

Set up Bill Pay

Schedule all your payments in one place with Bill Pay in digital banking. Once you've enrolled in digital banking, find Bill Pay in the menu to get started. Please note: We recommend removing payments in your current digital banking before November 1st to ensure there are no processing issues. Beginning November 3rd, you will need to re-add any existing bill payments, if applicable, in digital banking.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still visit former Settlers best branches?

Yes, you can still access former Settlers best branches and will continue to see the same friendly faces you're accustomed to seeing.

How and when will I receive account statements?

You will receive your final statement for your existing accounts via mail. After November 3rd, you can choose to opt-in to receive eDocuments in digital banking. Final statements will be available in digital banking shortly after your account is converted. If you do not opt-in, you will receive statements via mail and may be charged a $3 paper statement fee.

All Wings accounts receive a combined statement at least quarterly. Monthly statements are sent if you have a checking account, line of credit, mortgage payment or electronic activity. 

Statement dates vary by account type:
  • Quarterly statements are sent at the end of each quarter
  • Monthly statements are sent on the 21st of each month
  • Business statements are sent on the 1st of each month

How do I find my account number(s) in digital banking?

Login to digital banking, then select your account. From there,  find "Account Details", then click "View Account Details". You will see your full account number.

Are all former Settlers best members converting to Wings

Some businesses may not be converting to Wings on November 1st, meaning there will be no changes to their account at this time. If you didn't receive information about your account conversion, please call the transition hotline at (855) 873-5707.
