Scholarship Programs

As part of its commitment to higher education, the Wings Credit Union Foundation proudly awards scholarships to outstanding Undergrad and Post-Grad members who plan to attend an accredited college, university, or post-secondary technical school.

Beginning in 2026, the annual total scholarship amount will increase and include an additional $20,000 dedicated in memory of Trysh & Pete Olson.

The scholarship application period will close on March 5, 2026.
Only winners will be notified the week of May 4, 2026.

Please note that the scholarship application is through a third-party platform, Kaleidoscope. Applicants will receive emails from Kaleidoscope throughout the application process.

Remembering Trysh & Pete Olson

Trysh Olson’s credit union career spanned over three decades with the last 23 years spent at Wings Credit Union. She was the face of the Wings Financial Foundation and led Wings’ financial education efforts with her passion for educating and empowering members of all ages. Pete was a long-time mortgage lender in the credit union space, including at Wings.

On September 6, Trysh and her husband, Pete, tragically passed away in a car accident. They will both be greatly missed and their warmth, sense of humor and commitment to giving back to our communities will not be forgotten.

Two winners will be awarded a Trysh & Pete Memorial scholarship. They will be selected from the same group of undergraduate applicants based on their exemplary applications.
